Overview

Blue Ridge Health (BRH) is recruiting for a Provider Support Specialist to join our Medical team in Hendersonville, NC.

Must be a licensed Advanced Practitioner (NP, PA-C, etc.)

BRH is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving communities across the mountains of western North Carolina.

What You'll Do:

The Provider Support Specialist is responsible for supporting providers across the organization through clinical, operational, and technological assistance. This role focuses on provider success, engagement, and performance by supporting EHR optimization, workflow and template development, productivity improvement, provider onboarding and offboarding, clinical capacity management, and day-to-day provider support. Responsibilities include:

  • Supports provider onboarding and integration into the organization, including orientation to BRH culture, clinical expectations, workflows and technology systems, with a focus on fostering belonging and engagement.
  • Supports providers with EHR optimization, including template design, workflow refinement, documentation efficiency and clinical usability improvements.
  • Provides individualized support to providers to optimize productivity, documentation and clinical workflows or system navigation in partnership with the CMO and operational leadership.
  • Supports provider offboarding processes in collaboration with leadership, ensuring appropriate clinical handoffs, system access changes and continuation of care.
  • Provides desktop and one-on-one support for providers related to technology, clinical systems and workflow challenges.
  • Collaborates with clinical and operational laders on clinical capacity management, including schedule optimization, access strategies and panel management.
  • Serves as a clinical and operational resource during system changes, upgrades or optimization initiatives providing training and hands-on support as needed.
  • Maintains limited patient care assignments consistent with licensure to support organizational needs, contributing directly to patient care, quality and access (approximately 40%).

What We're Looking For:

  • Licensed Advanced Practitioner, such as, such as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with active or eligible licensure in North Carolina required.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of clinical experience in ambulatory or integrated care setting required.
  • Demonstrated experience with EHR systems (Athena experience preferred) including template development, workflow optimization and provider training.
  • Strong understanding of provider productivity, panel management and clinical operations.
  • Experience supporting peers or serving in clinical leadership, informatics or optimization preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
