What You'll Do:

The Director of Practice Operations is responsible to direct, manage, and evaluate the operations and support service activities of multiple practice locations and service lines, emphasizing efficient operations, financial accountability, quality & compliance management, and strategic development. The Director of Practice Operations will ensure the efficiency of services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, providers, and staff. Responsibilities include:

  • Provides overall development, organization and leadership for clinical systems necessary to provide efficient and effective service delivery in multiple practice locations and/or multiple service lines.
  • Recruits, supervises and trains, orients and evaluates performance of assigned staff. Manages various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisal, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.
  • Develops and fosters effective collaboration between departments to ensure an integrated approach to providing services, and fulfilling BRCHS’ goals and objectives.
  • Effectively reports practice/service line activities and information to the BRCHS Chief Operations Officer, and other members of BRCHS Senior Leadership Staff, as appropriate.
  • Works closely with the BRCHS Director of Quality Management, responsible for ensuring compliance of Quality Assurance, Compliance and Risk Management programs for responsible practice sites and/or service lines. Identifies and evaluates actual or potential safety and risk management issues; intervenes as appropriate; intervenes and problem-solves inter/intradepartmental issues as required.
  • Ensures policies are communicated and administered consistently for responsible practice sites and/or service lines

What We're Looking For:

  • A 4-year degree in Health, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree in Health, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred. Any combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirement.
  • Minimum two years' experience supervising an outpatient clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of ambulatory healthcare organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives; health care administration systems; governmental regulations and compliance requirements; patient flow and facilities management.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills, including practice management fiscal practices.
  • Knowledge of pertinent Federal, State and local laws, regulations, etc. as they pertain to medical care service delivery.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; and ability in data tracking, management, analysis and feedback of results.
