What You'll Do:

The Associate Clinical Director provides clinical guidance and leadership for the range of services and programs offered by the organization. Serves to support the Clinical Director in setting standards of care for all services and programs provided by the organization unless otherwise designated by the CEO. Reports directly to the Clinical Director. Service delivery standard of 10% which excludes clinical supervision time. Responsibilities include:

  • Supports the Clinical Director in implementing clinical model changes per directives from the Board, regulatory bodies, payers, and internal standards.
  • Collaborates with supervisors and leadership to implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Works with Clinical and Medical Directors to develop and promote clinical practice standards, guidelines, and fidelity tools.
  • Assists in monitoring clinical service quality and compliance, supporting risk management and audit readiness.
  • Provides training on documentation, service definitions, person-centered planning, and related topics.
  • Partners with county leadership during new service implementation to ensure model fidelity.
  • Offers clinical and programmatic consultation to county leadership and staff.
  • Participates in or leads clinical meetings and provides case consultations and regular updates to the Clinical Director.

What We're Looking For:

  • Master’s Degree in a clinical field required.
  • Licensed to provide mental health & substance use disorder services in NC or able to obtain shortly after hire, preferred to hold licenses to provide both mental health and substance use clinical supervision.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with mental health, substance use and intellectual developmental disability populations across all ages.
  • Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) required.
  • Experience in non-profit behavioral health, community mental health, or state government behavioral health preferred.
  • Well versed in a whole person recovery system and trauma informed care.
  • Proficiency in facilitation of training and mentoring staff.
  • Experience in evidence based practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Programs is required.
