Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a PRN (as needed) Pharmacy Delivery Technician to be part of our Pharmacy team in Henderson County, NC.

What You'll Do:

We are seeking a reliable and professional PRN Pharmacy Delivery Technician to join our team on an as-needed basis. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medications and supplies to patients and facilities when our full-time drivers are unavailable. Responsibilities include:

  • Safely and promptly deliver prescriptions and medical supplies to patients’ homes or healthcare facilities.
  • Follow all HIPAA guidelines and company protocols to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with the pharmacy team, patients, and caregivers regarding delivery times and any issues.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as needed.
  • Perform vehicle safety checks and report any maintenance needs.
  • Be available on short notice to cover shifts due to illness, PTO, or other absences.

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous delivery or courier experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or pharmacy setting. Not mandatory.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong cell phone and navigation app experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs or uneven terrain.
  • Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
