Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team in Hendersonville, NC.

What You'll Do:

The Accounts Payable Clerk's purpose is to compile and maintain Accounts Payable functions following Blue Ridge Health’s (BRH) requirements and policies, and ensure that vendors are promptly paid for goods and services. Responsibilities include: 

  • Sorts incoming vendor invoices and interoffice mail.
  • Receives and prepares approved vendor invoices and check requests for payment.
  • Prepares quarterly sales and use tax report for the North Carolina (NC) Department of Revenue.
  • Prepares 1099’s yearly.
  • Coordinates production no manual checks for BRH employees as needed for payroll adjustments with the Payroll Coordinator.
  • Organizes and maintains accounts payable records and assists outside auditors as needed.
  • Drives to the Post Office and Bank to deliver/pickup mail and make bank deposits as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with staff and vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills – electronic, verbal and written.
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems and identify workable alternatives.
  • Ability to understand and apply contract terms and conditions.
  • High School Education
  • One year formal specialized training/work experience in Accounting or Accounts Payable.
  • Knowledge of Netsuite Accounting Software preferred.
  • Competency utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
