Overview

Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking an Qualified/Associate Professional to be part of our Child Services Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Team in Waynesville, NC.

A newly hired Qualified Professional may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000.

What You'll Do:

The Qualified or Associate Professional is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating and revising Person-Centered Plans which are reflective of each individual’s strengths, needs and preferences, maintaining a balance between “important to” and “important for” the individual and serving as a quality blueprint for service delivery Providing symptom education to each individual to identify their unique symptoms of addiction and mental illness and understand their diagnosis.Providing supportive counseling (i.e. problem solving, role-playing, modeling and support), social-skill development, and assertiveness training to increase each individual’s social and interpersonal activities in community settings.Providing crisis intervention and support in a manner consistent with each individual’s Crisis Plan, whenever possible, during scheduled hours as well as after-hours, as outlined in the Intensive In-Home Scheduled On-Call Crisis Response system. Collaborating and coordinating with various persons and organizations, which affect each individual.  These include schools, courts, probation officers, physicians and other healthcare providers, hospitals, law enforcement officers, social services, family members and community agencies.

What We're Looking For:

  • An individual who holds a license, provisional license, certificate, registration or permit issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession, except a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing who also has four years of full-time accumulated experience in mh/dd/sa with the population served; or 
  • A graduate of a college or university with a Masters degree in a human service field and has one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling; or
  • A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling; or
  • A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
