Overview

Blue Ridge Health (BRH) is recruiting for a Pediatrician to aid in hospital coverage of pediatric patients and newborns. BRH is a Federally Qualified Health Center with locations serving communities across Western North Carolina.

What You'll Do:

The Pediatrician is a member of the interdisciplinary health team of Blue Ridge Community Health Services and works in collaboration with the Medical Director, and the physician team, including family medicine residents at Pardee Hospital.

The pediatrician will provide primarily inpatient pediatric coverage as well as coverage for newborns at c-section deliveries. Other duties may include emergency department consultation and outpatient pediatric care as well as supervision of advanced practitioners.

What We're Looking For:

  • Medical physician currently licensed to practice in the State of NC
  • Graduate of formal accredited medical school and certified to practice by NC Medical Board of Examiners
  • Board certified or board eligible
  • Residency trained in Pediatrics
  • Experience in hospital and ambulatory care settings, and preferred experience in teaching programs
  • Interest and/or experience in collaboration with interdisciplinary health teams
  • Possesses medical skills at a high level of competency
  • Maintains current continuing medical education (CME) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
